Structural Composition Of Centrifugal Pump

The basic structure of centrifugal pump is composed of six parts: impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearing, sealing ring and packing box.

1. The impeller is the core part of the centrifugal pump, it has a high speed and large output, and the blades on the impeller play the main role, and the impeller should pass the static balance experiment before assembly. The inner and outer surfaces on the impeller are required to be smooth to reduce frictional losses from the water flow.

2. The pump body is also called the pump casing, which is the main body of the pump. It plays a supporting role and is connected to the bracket on which the bearing is mounted.

3. The function of the pump shaft is to connect the coupling and the motor to transmit the torque of the motor to the impeller, so it is the main component for transmitting mechanical energy.

4. The sliding bearing uses transparent oil as lubricant and is added to the oil level line. Too much oil to seep out along the pump shaft, too little bearing to overheat and burn out causing an accident! During the operation of the pump, the temperature of the bearing is up to 85 degrees, and generally runs at about 60 degrees.

5. The sealing ring is also known as the leakage reduction ring.

6. The stuffing box is mainly composed of filler, water seal ring, packing cylinder, packing gland and water sealing pipe. The function of the stuffing box is mainly to close the gap between the pump casing and the pump shaft, do not let the water in the pump flow to the outside or let the outside air enter the pump, and always maintain the vacuum in the pump. When the pump shaft and the packing friction generate heat, it is necessary to rely on the water seal pipe to fill the water into the water seal ring to cool the packing and maintain the normal operation of the pump. Therefore, in the operation of the pump patrol inspection process of the filling box inspection is particularly important, in the operation of about 600 hours to replace the filler.
