What Knowledge Should I Know When Using A Submersible Pump?

Jun 02, 2023 Leave a message

The selection of submersible pumps before use is very important. The model of the pump should be selected according to the actual situation of the water source and the requirements of working time and pump water volume. First of all, the lift should be larger than the drop between the water intake and the water outlet; secondly, the flow rate of the pump should be able to meet the requirements of drainage and irrigation.

(1) Requirements for use environment

1. There is a safe and reliable power supply.

2. The drop between the outlet pipe and the water surface of the pool should be less than the lift.

3. Choose a relatively clean water source.

(2) Start

1. Submersible pumps below 11 kW are allowed to start directly. Submersible pumps above 13 kW should be equipped with a reduced pressure starting cabinet. To protect the safe operation of submersible pumps.

2. In order to prevent the rotor of the submersible pump from jumping up instantaneously and reduce the starting load. When the submersible pump is started, the stroke of the outlet valve should be closed to 3/4. (Leave a 1/4 air gap. For deflation) Slowly open it after starting the water. To the pump operating point is controlled in an appropriate position.

3. After the startup is completed, the operation starts. Monitoring and observation of water level changes should be strengthened. Ensure that the submersible pump operates within the operating conditions. After the submersible pump runs smoothly, it can be put into formal operation.

4. After the submersible pump is put into operation for 5 hours. The thermal insulation resistance is measured quickly when the machine is shut down. Its value is not less than 0.5MΩ. to continue to use.

(3) Operation

1. The submersible pump should work at the design operating point. At this time, the axial force is moderate. High pump efficiency. Economical and reliable.

2. The submersible pump should be fully checked every 8 hours of operation. Are there any changes to each instrument? Whether the circuit node is hot. Is the sound normal. Whether the normal operating current is greater than the rated value of the motor.

Note: In one of the following situations, the pump should be stopped immediately.

1) The working current of the pump suddenly exceeds the rated current of the motor.

2) The water output is abnormal, and the water is intermittent. Increased sand content.

3) Motor insulation resistance is lower than 0.5 megohm.

4) The unit has obvious noise and vibration aggravated.

5) The grid voltage is insufficient. 5% lower than the rated voltage.

6) The fuse burns out one phase.

7) The water pipeline is damaged.

(4) Stop the pump

Before the submersible pump stops. To prevent backflow of water. Shut off the valve at the same time as the power is cut off. More than 20 minutes between restarts.

(5) Use

1. Install a leakage protector

2. The outlet pipe should not be bent as much as possible, and the rupture of the water pipe should be found and repaired in time to reduce power loss.

3. A filter should be added when pumping water from a water source with more debris.

4. Correct the positive and negative poles of the power supply before starting, so as to prevent the water pump from reversing and no water.

5. When an abnormal situation is found during use, cut off the power supply in time, and continue to work after the situation is recovered.
